Cortona
Cortona is a small charming town in the Valdichiana, or
Chiana Valley, in the province of Arezzo in southern
Tuscany. The city, enclosed by stone walls dating back to
Etruscan and Roman times, sits on the top of a hill about
600 meters above sea level. This dominant position over
the valley offers a spectacular view from all over the town
of the surrounding valley and even Lake Trasimeno. The
heart of Cortona is Piazza della Repubblica, with the
Palazzo Comunale or town hall building overlooking the
square.
Our property
The villa of Cortona
The country house dates back to the early 900’s and was completely renovated in 2011. Is located at
Montecchio Loto, in the town of Cortona (Province of Arezzo), one of the most beautiful places in
Tuscany and then in Italy.
The area is covered with olive trees and vineyards, and is part of the Italian wine tour. Area which
produces San Giovese.
The house was completely renovated in 2011 with high-quality materials but keeping the typical
Tuscan country houses’ charme, with great exposed beams and original cotto tiles.
